Default cracked crossmember

Thanks everyone for your feedback.

I finally got a chance to look closely at the parts truck today. I am currently unable to get under my truck for cross reference so I am asking your expert advice.

It looks as though the cross member in the parts truck is cracked.

Is the cross member the same in both the 2x4 and 4x4?

Thanks,

I know the driver's side radius arm is shot and needs replacement.

What is the bracket called that is attached at the front of the radius arm and goes around the front of the axle?

It looks like it took a beating in the wreck.

Transmission and transfer case installed and road-tested.

Next stop, TTB.

TTB now completely removed from the donor.

New ball joints and bushings on deck.

I forgot to mention previously, my 2wd truck has the 4wd indicator lights in the dash, stock... they work! plug & play! Cool!

I have an extended cab 93 2wd. I bought the truck cheap, mostly because it was 2wd. I also thought it had a knock turns out it was another issue. Anyway, trans started going out on me, I was throwing the idea around of converting it. I got a parts truck, but with a m5od and 302 (my truck is an auto with 351). I went out and bought a reman trans really for the warranty because I have horrible luck. So I'll be doing my swap soon, well as soon as the transmission comes in. Haha

I have the front end back together.

This is NOT a project for the faint of heart!

I still have to pirate the 2" lift blocks for the rear.

I gained 4" in height at the front axle due to this conversion and new Moog springs. It has lifted the truck just like I wanted.

I'm subbed to both of your threads. Congrats on the swap being successful so far. Very well done.
