Good insurance rate?
I am 16. Just got my G2 about a month ago. No accidents, tickets or anything. I have a 95 f150, reg cab, long box, 2wd, stock. My cheapest quote was $300/month. Is that a good rate?

My insurance was bad too one quote I had was over a grand and I thought that was bad but 300 a month is crazy lol I got mine down by adding my gf even though she had 4 violations but now its like 150 a month for my 97 2wd 4.6 reg cab long box to have liability and a 01 saturn sl with full coverage plus it helps I'm a couple years older now but is keep looking around at different companies
is that liability only? or collision and comprehensive, too (don't know if they do it the same up north) if they do it the same up there, and you are including collision, you might consider dropping it and just doing liability and maybe comp. with an 18 year old truck collision coverage usually just isn't worth it. save the money you would be paying in collision coverage for a year or two and put it in an emergency fund.
sounds right for being 16, i assume you're not married, driving a vehicle that has some serious damage-causing ability. if i were you (assuming you haven't already) i would try to get on my parents insurance and pay them the difference. probably be a lot cheaper.

Depending where you are in Canada, it can be really low or really high. I was in southern Ontario for 2.5 years and I paid 220 a month at 18 with G2, now I'm back in northern Ontario and I pay 1100$ a year so about 90$ at 21 with full G.
Age and license has allot to do with it. GTA area insurance is crazy stupid for young drivers.

sounds really high but you live in a different country. i was paying $132 for full coverage when i turned 18 on my 96 f150 xlt. now im paying $102 for full on my 97 f250 and i got a $100 deductible for theft and a $250 deductible for collision. in comparison my f150 had $500 for both. im turning 22 here in a month.

Canada is r@ping people up the **** for insurance rates right now, luckily our MP is trying to pass a bill to lower insurance rates for young drivers and prevent inflation of rates in rural communities in the north cause southern Ontario and GTA (Toronto area) have a different and elevated risks cause is so congested.
Wouldn't be fair for the people who lives on roads where only 2 cars pass a day vs 200 cars every 30 sec.

A lot is going to depend on your location, age, and record.
A lot is also going to depend on the company and how much they want to fleece you for.
At 35 years old, over 12 years as a professional driver, perfect driving record. My house, 3 trucks, and my motorcycle with the same company.
For the minimal coverage on my '96 f-150 they charge me roughly 100 a month.
For minimum coverage on my '86 Chevy (D-10 military) it's roughly 50 a month.
For minimum on my '78 Chevy it's roughly 45 a month.
My motorcycle with full coverage + accessory coverage is roughly 30 a month.
My premium has gone up two or three times in the last five years. When I call and complain they always give me some B.S. about how a new state law has forced them to raise my rates.
I get aggrivated just thinking about it. All the money for insurrance over the years, and I've got more miles logged then most people will ever drive in thier life time with a perfect record.
