'94 F150 XLT, 4.9L - Oil Pan Gasket, Motor Mounts Project
Hey guys,
I'm preparing for the oil pan gasket replacement project and need new motor mounts so I'll replace those too. I figure it's such a PITA to do this stuff so I'll replace the oil pump while I've got it open. I've search the forum and haven't found any detailed threads on doing this so thought I'd reach out. I'm at just over 160,000 miles. Is there anything else I should replace while I'm doing this? Also, other than the motor mounts, what else do I need to disconnect or remove to lift the motor up? AC lines? Fan shroud? Thanks for the help.

According to the Haynes repair manual you have to remove the radiator and the starter. There are a lot of steps. I would suggest you guys purchase a Haynes repair manual, it gives good step by step instructions for a lot of jobs. The Haynes manual should still be available through your auto repair place, ie Oreillys, Advance Auto etc. If they don't have it on hand, they should be able to get it in a day or two. I suppose about 25 dollars now.
