Default fuel pumps- brand problems?

Have you had problems with a new fuel pump? Short life?

I'm about to purchase a new pump for the rear steel tank, 96 f150, have you a recommendation? I'm looking at Bosch and Delphi. There are plenty of others, like spectra, autobest, etc. There seem to be problems with all of them in one respect or another.

I'm pretty sure walbro is the OEM supplier - you can order directly from their site.

I believe Walbro was the Original OEM mtg'r, however I have been able to find a source for them locally. NAPA does not carry nor does AutoZone. I went to their website, but was unable to find a way to actually order on line. If you have a link, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Napa does carry bosch which works well. They're even starting to move back to Carter pumps which also works well. Whatever you do just stay away from Airtex!

Be careful of the pump mfg that you buy - there are a lot of Walbro knock offs out there right now that are flooding the market. So much so that Walbro has started selling directly through their site.
