Fuel gauge issue on '93
'93 F150, 171,000 5.0L
My front fuel gauge acts strange, sitting idle it will show correct fuel level, once you accelerate it goes down, then comes back up.
As for the back tank, I cannot switch to it. is that switch valve bad?
Anybody have similar issue and what the fix is??

A little bit of fluctuation is normal, how much are we talking?
As for the back tank, it is probably the dash switch which will be the easiest thing to check. What happens when you switch it - does the truck still keep running off of the front or does it die out?

There is no "switch valve". This shows how the '90-04 fuel system is set up:

But BLD is right - the fix depends on the actual symptom. We need more specifics. It would help us help you to see all the truck's details in your signature, as this caption explains:
