Hello. My truck is 1996 f150 300 I6 XL. I had stock AM only radio. I'm changing the radio, and would you confirm the wiring? Is the Metra harness correctly wired?
Metra wiring in sequence:
Yellow - battery
Orange/black - what's this for? unidentified.
Red - ignition/acc.
orange/white - dimmer
orange - illumination *radio harness has orange/white
for illumination. Does not specify
dimmer. forget the dimmer?
black - ground
blue - n/a
blue/white - n/a

Radio is JVC KD-R320 from amazon.
I also got wiring colors from installdr/the12volt/modified life, but they are all different.
Can I assume Metra harness has the correct wiring?
The wiring on the truck is Green/B - B - Y/Brown - blue/red - orange/b - B/Grn - B/Grn.
If anything goes wrong, is the fuse the only thing I have to replace? Thank you.
