i no were a 77 ford f100 4x4 short bed 390 4 speed is for 400 bucks. it and been run in 8 years. i was wondering what all would i have to do to my 96 ford f150 4.9 5 speed 4x4 short bed to put the straight axle front end in his truck in mine. mine has front and rear sway bar and duel shocks on front. what would i have to do about the duel shocks and the front sway bar. im gonna keep my rear end thou were its got the sensor his is a 9 inch rear end.

It would require a lot of custom modifications. I'm not sure why you would want to do it. Going with a older style of suspension just doens't seam like a good idea to me, it's like taken a step back in the ride quality of the truck.

It's a Canadian thing eh!
First make sure its even the right gear ratio as your truck, or you will have to change gears in either the front rear axle to match.
And in order to keep your quad shock and coil spring suspension you will have to modify the tops of the axle to be able to mount coil springs and make the radius arms fit. It would take a bit of work.

Don't listen to that peanut guy. I'm curious as to your reasoning for the swap though. It's better off-road, but I wanna do it for durability and fewer alignment issue.

I wanna do it for durability and fewer alignment issue. plus i have 15x10 mickey thompson rims 33 12.50 and it kinda road walked. idk whats the deal with it. its got a new ford steering box every thang is tight.

Go check out the Full Size Bronco forum. There is a thread over there specifically for Sas. The swap os fairly easy. You just need to know what your doing.
