Default First time driving a long distance

Hey guys, we'll I'm going on a 4 1/2 hour drive next week (mostly high way miles) and this is the farthest distance I have ever drove my truck. I know to some off you this is nothing. But is there anything you will usually bring with you on a longer than normal drive? I already have a jug of coolant, 2 extra quarts of oil, jumper cables and a small tool box in the truck. Also, is there anything that you would check or do before the drive? Truck is a 1992 F150 with the 4.9.

A roll of good ole duct tape, and maybe the kind of tape I've seen advertised that you can
wrap around hoses that have pin holes in them.

Be sure to check all of your fluids and tire pressure, including the spare. Make sure you have a jack and the necessary tools to change a flat in case you have one.

Always good to be prepared, but if the truck is in good mechanical condition I don't think you will need to worry too much driving 4-5 hours.

Longest trip I did was a 16 hour drive out to the east coast and the only thing I think I had was a half quart of oil, jumper cables and a small mix match set of sockets

My longest continual trip was 25 hrs (just over 1300 miles). Did 3300 that week, no issues, but I had fluids a plenty and tools

Did any of you guys see a big gain in MPG's? I'm just assuming most of your trips were mostly highway miles
