What happens if you unplug the SPOUT plug and try starting it? Was the TFI module you replaced the same color?

The computer may not be getting power, or the PIP inside the distributor could be bad.

what year F150/302 is it? Did you replace a little grey module just below the cap? Is there a module there?

The PIP (profile ignition pickup) is the other thing. I have found it's easier to replace the whole distributor because I can never get the gear off of it without chipping it.

I don't know, but it's cheaper than the whole distributor. I think it's fairly cheap.

It's also called the Hall effect switch.
