It works fine now, I used a LADA temp sensor (198-188°F) and after road tests I reversed fans spinning direction, so now they blow into motor compartment. It's better cause the air flow direction now matches natural air flow while driving.

I recently removed my stuck rear wheel by lodging a hydraulic jack in between the frame and the wheel with a 3' 2x4 across the wheel as a contact point for the jack. Build tension, give it a smack, repeat. It worked well.

Lightbulb The time has come

It's about time to bring this thread back to life.

A lot of things happened to my truck in last 1.5 years, but the worst is that one day it said "I can not hold it inside me anymore, I have to share it with others", and poured engine oil to the ground. I have no idea where it leaks, and to be honest, I don't really want to know. Here's my plan:

1) disassemble the truck to the frame
2) clean/weld(if necessery)/paint the frame
3) repaint cab and bed. It all was painted 1.5 years ago, but it turns out that paint job was done really bad.
4) swap to 5.8
5) convert to 4x4
6) install 3rd seat
7) reassemble everything
8) make a new exhaust
9) reassemble everything the right way
10) enjoy

What I have right now:

a) a truck itself
b) used 5.8 block with heads, water pump, seized distributor and other parts
c) both front&rear ends (used) off a '90 Bronco with driveshafts (hopefully).
d) used manual transfer case
e) a spot for rent in the paint shop, where I can work on my truck myself

I'll keep this thread alive with pics of progress. Now I'm creating a list of needed parts, also trying to figure out the way I want the engine to be rebuilt&upgraded. I hope to be able to begin in 2-3 weeks.

Any ideas/advices are greately appriciated

I know what it's like painting a truck twice.

I'm afraid I'll find out really soon Bad thing is that I have to pay twice, too. I have no place for painting, and I'm not a painter. At least not a good one

Great thread and work on your truck! I was just wondering how much gas (petrol) costs over there in Moscow.
