Default F250 springs on F150 4x4 - Just an interesting thing ...

So for anybody interested; picture shows 2 frames loaded for the metal recycling yard. Frame on top is a 95 F150 ext. cab s/box 4x4, frame on the bottom is an 05 F250 superduty crewcab 4x4.
Now the thing is that F150 4x4 springs are 1/2" wider than 2WD springs - the same width as F250 springs.
The interesting part is that the 05 superduty measures exactly the same eye to eye as the F150.
So it would seem that it just might be possible to bolt newer F250 springs under an earlier 4x4 or 250.
I didn't measure eye bolt to centering bolt (I should have, but I didn't think of it till it was way too late) so that could be an issue, but anyway I just thought I'd throw this out there for anybody who might find it of interest to know.
Also, the frames were basically the same width.

I've heard about this before. I forget how much it raises the back end but it's better than an add a leaf. I'll be doing it eventually.
