F150 tow hooks?
I have a 96 f150 I'm looking to put tow hooks up front. I'm looking for ideas on where to mount them. I got 10000lbs tow hooks from tactor supply. Want them up front to get pulled from if I get stuck...

Consider installing a front receiver hitch and using a solid insert. Stronger and you could use the insert on the back if needed, assuming you have a rear hitch.

I was thinking about getting one of them. How do they mount up? Where the sway bar mounts up? And I have one on the rear with a hook. Feels great hitting your knees off of them!....lol

I have the exact same front receiver on my '96 along with the insert tow point as pictured. Works really well. Plus having the front receiver is really useful around the farm for moving trailers and whatnot.
Not the best picture but you can see it below. Way too cold to go take a new one. Basically you remove the bar across the front of the frame (sway bar?) and bolt this in it's place no drilling required.

I have the Curt hitch on the front of my 95 and it went in easy. It would help to have another person but I managed by myself. I've used it for bike racks when I've been pulling my camper and a basket so I could load a HUGE cooler. The possibilities are endless. Plus, and I haven't needed to do this yet, I can always turn my truck around and push my camper or boat into a tight spot.
