F150 Cab Marker Lights
 

Just bought my son a 94 F150. He wants to put cab marker lights on it. Any suggestions for kits? Anyone done this?

I'm interested in this as well -- It looks like most kits are pretty universal and can be had for $30 or less. You have to drill and prep the metal for all the holes, and run the wiring down to a harness along the A pillar in the cab. Apparently it can be a reasonably challenging process especially if you don't have the patience.

Either way, I want to give this a crack this summer as well.

Just investigate the bottoms of the markers, I picked up a set on amazon that had angled bottoms (^) instead of flat (--) and figured out they wouldn't mount correctly/create a seal. Luckily I did a dry run of placing them all out before I started drilling holes.

If you want OEM quality buy Trucklite 25761Y from most truck parts suppliers. I have a set to go on mine.

Fishing the wiring to the holes for the lights is the hardest part. Definitely helps to have a second hand.

The plug you want to plug into is on the passenger side inside the cab, behind the kick panel. This is from a '96 manual, but yours is the same. The plug is shown on the far right:

I just bought a set off eBay for $40 and started drilling away. There's a plug behind the passenger side kick panel with a black and a brown wire that's power for marker lights. Also use lots of silicone to seal it up.

My roof had an insulation of some sort only in the one part that I had a hard time shoving the wires through, besides that it's pretty easy.
