Go to ford racing.com and download their catalog. Been down this road and found towing rv cam worked the best, very good low end grunt. They also have alot of helpfull tips and parts you may not have thought of.

MAP can't handle many changes, the computer assumes the engine is stock. The sensors can't compensate for added incoming air and changed parameters. MAF is more responsive to changes but you would still have to tune it with properly sized injectors. I don't remember all the specifics.

To change to MAF you need the engine harness, sensors and computer from a '94-'95 5.0 automatic truck.

Not exactly my department. Dr. Bowtie would know, Ymeski has lots of links and good info. Dirtcrew leans more towards carbs but he still has some good info.

If it's map the only tuning you'll be able to do with any sort of mods is a conversion to carb or MAF.

MAP can't handle a CAI without the possibly of running too lean. A drop in filter is about the most change you can do without leaning the engine out to the point of crap

How does one know if they're MAF or MAP?
