I blame the 10% ethanol attracting water and not playing nice with anything, especially carbs! Ethanol produces half the energy gasoline does and only plagues fuel systems but what are ya gonna do? If you run your vehicle that infequently, I would make it stop running with a can of fogging oil. It's very popular with marine applications during winterization of boats, you might want to check it out. Take the air cleaner off and spray fogging oil over the entire carb while running until it dies, thus coating the carb, valves and piston walls with oil. Say goodbye to dry starts!

I haven't researched for a 460, but at the least you would swap intake manifolds to get the injectors and throttle body. I don't know if the fuel injected would bolt to that old of a block.
