Default 3.08 to 3.55LS

I recentetly picked up a parts truck with a 3.55 limited slip in the rear. I am thinking of swapping the whole rear axle assembly if everything checks out ok, would this be easier than swapping gears? Also my 93 has rear abs and the parts truck was a 91 f150, anyone know if 91 came with ABS?

The axle should have the ABS sensor on the axle for the truck axles so it should work.

Thanks glad to know it will work, I checked they bothhave the ABS sensors. Now my question is is it easier to pull and replace the gears, or replace the whole rear end? I can't take the 3.08s anymore they are fine for cruising around but I have no power getting off the line and end up spinning the tires on dirt/grass because I don't want to ride my clutch.

Suggest replacing the whole rear end, allot less of a hassle then re-gearing.

Just change the whole rear. Way easier.
