Electric Fan question...
so everyone pulls fans from other vehicles but will this get it done?

Other than being loud and more expensive than a good set of used twin fans, yes. The fan controller needs a port to be installed and it cost nearly three times as much as the adjustable controller from Advanced Auto Parts. I know some of these trucks have a port in the t-stat housing. Mine does not. You could get the Chrysler/Taurus style factory fans for $100 new off of the web and $20 for the controller will equal $20 less than your posted items, run quieter, give you two speed fans and move more cfm. Go for it if you wish.

I would go with a taurus fan, they already have a fan shroud as part of the whole unit which will direct the air very nicely.

Early taurus' use mark viii fans, not trying to knock them but you need more relays and they use more power (up to 80amps for high kick on) than a standard fan (30amps for high kick on).
Mopar fan from chrysler or dodge sedan/convertible 98-05 are the same width as our radiators, they are dual speed dual blade fans. Super quiet and move some serious CFM. (Sebring, 300, Stratus, etc...) This temp controller from AZ http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...=267187_9581_0 Grab some relays out of a car while you at a junk yard, OE relays are super reliable and cheap from a junk yard or pull-a-part place. You will need some wiring, maybe a switch in the cab if you want to be able to manually turn the fans on as well. Any red/lightgreen wire in the engine bay is hot with ignition on only (For future reference). The money you save going with a pulled mopar fan and the $20 AZ controller you can upgrade your alternator if you haven't already. It's not a requirement to do the E-fan but it is definitely recommended. I went with the TYC 130amp from rockauto, $110 shipped. |

This fan! Sorry....been away from the computer all day. These fit our rads almost perfectly.
