i want to do an egr delete.

right now my check engine lights comes on and off when i drive because of the egr.

my egr tube it already cut and they put a piece of cardboard as the gasket of the egr.

the vacuum line and plugs are still like normal.

what can i do to delete the egr. but a plate there and not get the check engine light ?

Just below the exhaust manifold, in the exhaust pipe. They didn't put it back when they did the exhaust, which is illegal.

this might help or not but exhuast back pressure or lack there of it can cause the egr system to read wrong... so cat then glass pack creates lack of back pressure at least enough to create the egr sensor to read wrong.

No. The computer reads the amount the EGR is open only. It doesn't read the flow.

alright then what the hell did i do to my truck? i put on a stock muffler and no engine light it was insufficient flow. well any who that fixed it for me so thats a sort of good thing....
wait I think i know what i did. I replaced the hose running out of the cat up to something that could have been it then. still just glad after 3 years no check engine light
