E4OD Transmission ?'s
I know it's my first post but I've been trolling all over this site the past 2 weeks and man a live is there some serious info on here!! You guys have gotten me through all my problems but 1 so far. So, here I am, created an account and hopefully we can get this problem taken care of!
Transmission E4OD 4x4. 1995 F150 XLT 5.8L 351.
Every now and then it doesn't want to shift into 2nd and when it does, it does it with some serious force that I really don't like. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME! And I am yet to notice a pattern to the conditions or weather related at all. I am at a belief that it is electrically related but I have come to you to help me figure it out from there. I am 99% mechanically inclined and have been for many years (if you are 100% then please don't reply because you don't have a clue! That 1% is what you learn every day LOL)
Anyway, I haven't had the time to get into town to hook up a code scanner to it so I did it myself and I came up with the following. I did it over a dozen times to get it right and I was very consistent with my reads...

When the hard shift occurs, the O/D Off light on my shifter flashes as well. Also when I'm driving it seems when accelerating, my CEL comes on but when I let off it goes away again. The CEL DOES NOT STAY ON!! I'm hoping that I will get to go into town tomorrow (monday 4/2) to get a read on it from Oreillys but I was hoping to get a few late night replies tonight yet that I can look into tomorrow morning before I head off to town.
I think I covered everything that I have seen asked for in the other posts about this problem... Oh yeah, this is a transmission that was in a bronco of a friend of mine that I did see driving prior to him rolling it that same night a talked to him. it wasn't a serious rollover, but enough to bust the windows and insurance totaled it...
Thanks for the help in Advance!! I'll be checking back as often as I can!
