Hello everybody
Like I showed in the introductionsection; I'm new here and a very proud owner of my 1994 F150.

Maybe someone here who is prepared to give me some advice about my tranny.
Shifting goes a bit rough; especially reverse is harsh BUT, there is always a but When driving, and lets say after a roundabout(we do have a lot of them here in the Netherlands) I resume the cruisecontrol, The tranny shifts so gently in 2 and around 2300revs she shifts into thirth gear smooth .
Can anyone tell me what that can be? I was thinking of a dirty TPS.

Does the speedometer work? Is the ABS light on? Check the computer for codes, it stores transmission codes too.

Hi Sean; thanks for your reply. sometimes the ABSlight comes on; most of the times not

That would indicate a problem with the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) which is on the rear differential. The wiring to the VSS is also a common problem, so you can check the wires near the connector.

Goodmorning Sean (it's 0656hrs here) Wednesday I'm going to meet the trannyspecialist here in town.He also asked me if I have a bad VSS. He's gonna connect his computer with my truck... I keep you posted when I do have more details. Thanks for your kind advice

Goodmorning My throttle pos sensor is out of order, that seems to be the reason for harsh shiftings. I'm gonna put an cupped orifice in the oilway to the reverse clutch ; makes him smoother.
