Hey everyone,

My E4OD transmission has been shifting hard into 4th gear. It doesn't do it all the time, and it hasn't gotten that bad yet, but the shifts into 4th are getting progressively rougher.

Also, my shifts into reverse are delayed by a couple seconds, and when it finally shifts, it shifts hard. Any suggestions as to what I should do? Is this something I can tackle by myself or should I take it to a shop ASAP?

I have a 1993 F-150 XLT with a 5.0 liter engine and a 4x4 E4OD transmission.

When mine was acting up (slipping and shifting hard) before I built it, I just topped it off on trans fluid and it rolled through the gears perfectly... I got that 20 bolt monster too, very good trans.
