dreaded oil pan gasket
as the title says, i need the gasket replaced. i had every intention on doing it myself until i actually got under my truck. ugh... anyway, i need a mechanics opinion on how much it'll cost at a shop. and i dont mean an ally mechanic either. sorry if that sounds rude. i just need a real quote and seeing as i was on this site at the moment id thought id ask

i didnt have to do all that when i replaced mine. i just dropped the pan as far as it would go. since i had the one piece gasket i just worked it up from the bottom around the pan til it was on top and put the bolts back in. i didnt think it was so bad

i dropped the pan and used a bent metal hanger to maneuver the gasket under the pump and into position. though that was on a 5.0 mustang
