Default LSX into my 93 F150

Well I havent been able to find anything on this swap so i figured I would see if it is even being done. I like my truck but it needs more power and better gas mileage. I figure I can do this pretty cheap. I am thinking I will use an LQ4, 6 liter. My original plan was to use the M50D-R2 that was in the truck then I saw that the tranny has an integrated bellhousing so obviously that isnt going to bolt onto an lsx. I want to keep my transfer case too, well 4wd. Anyone know if this has been done?

Yeah...... I will never figure that out I may have to the OP for even suggesting it....

You do know that there are literally TONS of parts available for FORDS nowadays, right? I have a fairly stock 302 in my 94' that will smoke the H_LL out of the tires and a good friend of mine has a 92' Mustang with a 306 that runs 9.90's all day long on a 1/4 mile. Why put any Government Motors products in your really nice FORD.

I like the idea....

I had a factory 425hp LQ4 6L that got 25MPG ...I would do it....those things rate faster than fords and make a tons more power just on minor mods...

it is easy to get 600hp on the LS motors without charging them....

If you are arguing against this swap, well thats kind of ignorant. I dont mean to be a dick, but it is imo. This is my buddys notch mustang. The lq4 in it is bone stock with a 70mm turbo. It makes close to 700whp. Your ford wont do that, the motor in that car cost 600 bucks. Again nothing personal, I just want some info on this swap if it has been done. I love my truck if that makes everyone feel better!lol I had a 460whp blown 96 cobra before I built the rx7. I just go where it costs the least to make the power. The car in the vid had a forged 306 in it but it popped a ringland around 550whp so we stuffed the LQ4 in it. It gets 30mpg on the highway and you dont have to tune it with just fuel pressure and timing.

I would also like to put a solid alxe in the front of my 150. I havent looked much at putting a Dana 60 in the front out of the F350 but I would imagine it bolts in. I dont want to fight the camber issues of the TTB front end. That was a dumb idea ford.

Well, I think its ignorant to want to put a chev motor in a Ford.....Go buy a chevy if you want a chevy motor, dont disgrace a REAL truck with those ****ty parts.

P.S. WTF did you think we were gonna say, your talking to people who love their Fords about putting the comps parts in it......it's actually comical!!!!!!

Yeah, your right. Like I said, my good friend has a 92' mustang with a 306, no ADDERS at all, running 9.90's all day long. This is with a carb, headers, heads, cam, etc. NO TURBO, NO SUPERCHARGER, NO NITROUS, NOTHING.

I guess Fords are slow. What was I thinking? Shewww, for a minute there I thought I was on a FORD F150 FORUM. I just realized I'm not in Kansas anymore......

Got any video of your buddies car going high 9's on motor? You guys really take the brand loyalty thing pretty far. I really dont mean to **** anyone off, I just want more power for cheap and better gas mileage. I like my truck, I dont really want a chevy, this truck does what i want, but I would like more power and better gas mileage, I dont care who makes the motor.
