I got a 1988 f150 equipped with the 302. I got headers on the truck, but there literally touching my starter and causing a heat soak problem I believe. I really dont wanna take the headers off. I got the money to buy a mini starter, but with countless google searches I cant really find one made for my truck. Does anyone know, maybe have a link? Anything would help at this point. The OEM starter is just to wide and I need a smaller one.

Hey bro have you checked Summit Racing? I was looking at thier mini starters for my 87 there seemed to be quite a few that were compatible. I ended up just getting one of Summit's stock replacememts though as ive got no size issues with my long tubes and OEM starter, just proactive maintenance in my case.
