Post Differential ratios 4.56 or 3.73

Which great ratio should I go with? I do quite a bit of off roading and not alot of highway driving but I do some, which gear ratio would be better for a 5 speed 4x4 with 33's on it 4.56 or 3.73? Should I upgrade to a better locker or rebuild the limited slip I have?

I'd go with 4.56 myself, I always like deeper gears, but the only time I go faster than 60 is racing my friend to work (why we're in such a hurry to get there, I'll never know). 4.10 is probably ideal though with 33's, I want to go with 4.56 for my 35's.

I'd go with a locker myself, really it depends on what you want to do with the truck. I've seen a lot of guys sit there spinning even with a stiff limited slip.

Well I was thinking about goin with an Eaton locker and 4.56 gears. The truck is only gonna get bigger so 38's are my goal but my 33's will do until the but the limited slip I have sucks. It trys to grab and breaks away like there is a tooth missing but it only does it under heavy load so I think the clutches is worn real bad

If you have the budget, I'd go with 4.56s with a full locker. No reason to go with 3.73s only to have to regear later.

on my 4x4 I had 4.56 with 38s and it was good...engine tach'd up a little higher than I wanted at 80mph but I was okay with that...

4.10s may have been a better choice...just depends how much power you want off the line...for mudding that may have been too much gear but never got stuck from wingin the tires....I had lockers front and rear...
