Yes, absolutely. "Loctronics" is not a Ford OEM supplier, and you won't find that thing in any Ford EVTM or wiring diagram. IDK why someone would install it (maybe anti-theft, or to prevent drunks/kids from using the truck), but I'd uninstall it, and return the wiring to stock configuration.

The one in that listing is only suitable for a vehicle originally equipped with that mirror - one that doesn't need any of the other parts to make it work. Since your truck doesn't have the temperature sensor, connectors, or wiring, I don't think that's a good investment for you. Check your PMs...

Yeah, I agree. I'll do that as a summer project!

Yep you are correct, I didn't look that close at the listing. The one I got had the wiring harness and the temp probe so I was able to put it in.

And I think I got the quoting right finally! Thanks Steve83

You said there were no JYs near you... I found one that's practically walking-distance (OK swimming because it's across the river); it's closer than ANY of my local JYs is to me! (...as the crow flies - it's a longer drive.)
Gundies just North of Battle Ground was well-stocked last July.
All American in Vancouver looks like it was either closing down or just did a crush.
Rose is tiny & low-stocked.
Hillsboro is small & well-stocked (for its size).
Portland has Pick-N-Pull (big), LKQ (bigger), Light Truck (small), & several nearby; B&R (small) & several nearby; AtoZ (small), Gresham (medium), Airport (small), Burnside (tiny), & 205 (medium)...
Longview has D&S, GT, and Ace...
B&R in Chehailis looks like it's worth the drive - it's MASSIVE.

Install GoogleEarth Pro on your desktop computer (the phone app isn't as good, but it'll work in a pinch) and fly around your area looking in everyone's back yards.

Well, since I'm neither a fish or a bird, I have to drive! Battleground is about 1 1/2 hours, Longview is about half that and Portland is a mess just about any time you drive there! I'd probably go to Longview if I really had to. But my daily work drive is an hour each way, so I'm not usually in for more driving on the weekends!!

But thanks for checking!!!

I enjoy junkyarding whenever I get the chance (which has been REALLY rarely lately), so I don't mind driving for a while if I can hit several well-stocked yards along the way, and that's how I plan it when I go. Google Maps says Gundie's is only an hour drive from St. Helens, and either route takes you near several other yards (either in Vancouver/Portland or Longview). But I understand if you're tired of commuting.

Quick question for the wiring gurus, and back on topic to factory keyless entry:

When you press the keyfob twice in succession, the doors lock upon first press, and the horn sounds and parking lights flash upon second press. Well for some reason, my tail lamps don't flash on that second press. The fronts flash, and the license plate lamps flash, but the tail lights do not flash. I do have LEDs with resistors for my tail lamps. The fronts are LEDs too but with no resistors. Could the resistors (50w 6ohm) be preventing the flash? After discussing this with another member in another forum, it appears that the same wire that is responsible for the flash is responsible for powering on the lights from the switch, and I know for sure the lights work when turned on.

If it helps any, my tailights don't flash either. The only lights that flash are the 2 small corner markers beside the headlights.

So fun fact - ever since switching to the Tony Rojo LED tail lights, the tail lights flash when I press the lock button twice in a row on the FOB. Must have been something about the old LED bulbs that caused it not to flash. Everything else is the same, including the resistors I am using.

So I guess the lights/LED's you are using matter in the scheme of things.
