Just for example of how much of the bumpers structure and strength is still in it..i can stand on the bumper right below the headlight and it doesn't move. I'm 6.5 and 240 pounds.

Personally I would get some type of bumper mount grille guard and rather than simply bolting it on beef if up, make it part of the bumper. Then as someone else said make disconnects for bumper swapping

Yeah. Exactly lol I don't like bumper mounts usually but if you actually make it PART of the bumper it's a lot stronger. Also I would find a stronger way to mount the bumper to the frame. In not a huge fan of the factory bumper mounts in these trucks
A truck with a old grill guard on it. I'm going to give it a look over and see if it's usable.

The one im thinking of is on a 89 f150 but if I'm going to weld it on it will probably work. That's the only one I saw for older fords. The place I go has tones of 80-96 fords!
