I'm trying to talk "the boss" into letting me put a Miata engine in her B so it will be driveable on modern fuel, but her father built the car for her mother...

Pretty popular swap, the aftermarket is definitely available for that. But if The Boss says no, they do have heads available designed for unleaded fuel on Moss Motors. What all it does beyond hardened valve seats but I've heard good things. Although we all know there's more reasons to want that swap than fuel compatibility haha

I wouldn't even consider messing with the engine he built, for many reasons. I'd be happy to lift it out & drop something else in, but I don't want to take that head off again, or waste any more effort on it.
