Coyote Swap??

Coyote Swap??
I'm trying to research the possibilty of putting a new 5.0 in my 1995 F-150. The 195hp 5.0 is not doing to the job and the thought of having this new engine in my truck has me tickled. Has anybody heard of this being done yet?
Thanks,
Dave

As a foxbody enthusiast I can say I've seen a number of the new 5.0's swapped into the olé 5.0, but it's ridiculously expensive.
From what I know about the process everything that makes it expensive for the Mustang will have to be done with the truck. k member, tyranny, drive shaft, computer, harness, the Mustang requires swap specific headers that are the exact opposite of a dime a dozen, not sure if that one will effect the truck. Then the other random stuff to make sure everything old and new is properly connected.
The guys at Kurgan Motor Sports do a number of them in foxes and estimated it at roughly $23k for an install, parts and labor. Even if you did the swap yourself (time is still money) the parts come in the mid-teen thousands.
All that aside if you are interested enough and have the money to pursue it I think it would be an awesome build, the cool factor is there, as well as the manners and mpg of new tech, the performance can be had in a traditional swap so I don't really count that as a particular bonus.
I'll do some searching, shoot the guys at Kurgan a message on the Fox forums and see if anyone they know has done this, and get back to you.

With control you get from Ford Racing, can install motor into any vehicle. You would need to fab motor mounts(or truck 4.6 mounts may work), and if your tranny is an electronic auto, will need a controller for it. There is a company that make a front accessory set so can run PS, AC and the factory alenator...
And allot wiring and figuring out what gauges you want to run, and wire them up also.
I am in middle of putting Coyote motor into my 93 fox vert.. Got the motor, and just got my control pack in last week.

why dont you just build the motor you have? would cost half the price and less of a head ache. sure it would be cool, but if your looking for the best bang for your buck, just build yours.
