Fan is TYC PN: 620280 It wasn't the cheapest at $75, but I'll fab some brackets and it should work real well!

All this talk of e fans i went out to the u pull it got some fans and installed everything in about 3 hours. Love not having all the engine noise. Hope to see some mileage increase too

I got an electric fan out of my old escort, works great. If u get a fan make sure it's a 3 wire one they spin alot faster. You can wire it right to the harness or run it to a switch like I did, just can't forget to turn it on

Of and no relay or bigger alternator or nothin, just 10g wire and a decent switch

Sure seems like Russian Roulette running the fans off of a manual switch. I know a person that did that and overheated his engine and warped a head because he forgot to flip the fans on. Any particular reason you made that choice? I love the fact that my fans never come on unless I'm sitting at idle for too long, but I couldn't imagine trying to remember to flip the switch all of the time. A three wire fan is typically a 2 speed fan. I run the three wire setup for high speed when the t-switch kicks them in, but the two wire setup, low speed, only runs an average of 30 seconds longer vs. high speed. A dual fan, two wire low speed fan setup works more than good with the 4.9. Still haven't got to the salvage yard to get fans for my 5.0 yet, but i think it should do just as well.

I just installed a two wire dual fan setup. One wired to a thermostat and another on a manual switch for a back up

Back up manual switch is a good idea. I did the same on my ATV. It's nice to have an over ride for any mud vehicle. Get the rad covered in wet soupy mud and hit the fan switch to blow some of the mud out before it dries. I had overheating issues before the manual over ride switch when that mud did dry on the hot rad and clogged it up. I don't have an over ride on my F150. I don't see any mud to speak of. If I had to, it's as simple as moving a wire on the thermo relay if the thermo switch failed.

Well, I installed the fans and the new thermostat because the last one was stuck open. Then I snapped a bolt off trying to take the housing off then used an easy out, which also snapped @&$*%. So I drilled and tapped new threads, now all is well! The fans work great,kick on and off perfectly, I've got them set to 195, which should be 5 degrees after the thermostat opens. But now I've got another question, my temp gauge barely moves... Stays between the n on normal and the cold range, I can't figure it out! I just figured it was because of the thermostat being stuck open, but I guess not.
