Default Convincing my boss

I work at a plumbing supply warehouse in northern AZ so we have a plow truck which the plow quit working. The owners are a bunch of cheap asses but we've already talked about a new plow. I looked under the truck and over the years this stupid plow has bent the frame rails in front of the shocks to the point where a new plow is not going to fit unless cut and bent. But anyway, its an 89 f250 custom single cab long bed with a 5.8 and an a4od. I need to convince my boss to sell it to my brother and I who could use the 4 by to get us through the snow. How much would you guys offer given my description? Interior is good. Dash is perfect but its a custom so not much to break haha. Its primer gray and really beat up on the outside. Only has surface rust.

Bent frame? 500$ tops since now its structural integrity is severely affected. Its junk.

I don't think it is as severe with it being in the front. I mean not structurally sound by no means but fixable if you know what your doing.

No but it is a good selling point he could use

The cost and labor it would take to make a plow fit and work wouldn't be worth it, and he said they're cheap. So offer them a low ball cheap offer because of its condition. Don't point out the good stuff when buying something, point out all the bad details, makes it easier to get what you want at the price you want.

Maybe I should have read the description in detail didnt see the flaw with the exterior especially the rust. If the frame is rusted badly I would say high 500-600 like he said.

its a 4x4 250 which means it has leaf springs up front, and if its anything like my 250, 1 of the spring perches (if thats the right word) is only about 6" from the end of the frame horns. so id be worried about the springs being tweaked, $500 tops

The springs are obviously tweaked but we were thinking of just having it be our beater off roader that we aren't afraid to hurt. Originally I was thinking 900-1000 but I can see 5-700 for that truck.

This is something I didn't realize and affects the cost majorly.

I was just thinking about that today and he's right. The truck could be either sitting high or low on one side depending on the bend and the alignment is way out of wack.
