Default Cold weather idling issues

1992 f150, 5.0

This only happens when it's cold outside.

After the truck has been sitting for a while, such as first thing in the morning or after sitting through the work day, it doesn't want to idling for the first few minutes. I have to press the gas peddle as if it has a carburetor, sorta like with my 65 Falcon.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

When you say it doesn't want to idle do you mean it revs, shuts off, idles lower than normal?

Does the CEL come on at all?

It wants to go dead, like an older car until it gets warm. The CEL goes off and on year round.
