Default Coil springs fitting?

Alright to level my truck i bought the moog c844 springs which is what i seen recomended the most on here, i droped my truck off at an allignment shop and when i went back for my truck they said that those coils wouldnt fit so they went ahead and put stock coils on, and gave me back the f250 coils i had bought they said that the top fit but the bottom of the coil fit to loose and wouldnt work, Is there a trick to putting them on there i dont know about?

I've been looking at doing this too. I haven't heard of anyone having a problem or having to change anything to make them fit

Fit too loose??

What did they mean by that? All that hold the coil spring is the retainer clip and the large nut at the bottom.

I used the cc824, the cc844 are thicker in diameter and stock were only used for big block or diesel. I didn't want to have any fitment issues. Put a few different trucks(F150, F250 4.9l, F250 Diesel) in the search on Oreilly's website, this is what helped me make my decision.

Who did you buy them from? When I bought mine from RockAuto they sent me the wrong springs. The pigtail on the bottom was not in the correct position in relation to the top pigtail. I had to buy a second set and return the bad ones, so I had to trebuild the front end twice.

I got them from midwest auto on eBay, the guy at the shop said some kind of washer didn't fit down right on the bottom and they were loose, i didn't get to see it tore down so i wasn't 100% clear on what he meant

I am wanting to level my truck as well. Still unclear on whether or not I want to do coil spacers or new springs. How much is the shop charging you to do that anyway? I heard its quite expensive so plan on doing the work myself in the driveway.

spent $80 on the coil springs, they charged $40 to put the springs on and $38 to align the truck so for that price it aint worth the hassle for me to do it cause id have to get aligned afterwards any ways

Wow, thats a great deal. I need to go to your shop, lol. I havent priced any of that work yet because I want to replace my shocks when I do the other work and I need to save up a bit of money first.

They always fit loosely if you mount them wrong. This happened to me when I installed my lift on my last f150. You have to start running the nut on but not all the way tight. Then put weight in the axle to get the top tightened down, then run the bottom on all the way with the washer. If you put the spring in with no weight on it, the nut goes on really tight but the spring is still loose.
