Default clutch on 93 2wd 4.9 hardly have pedal

got a 93 2wd 5speed. i barely have a clutch pedal. i put a new clutch kit in it 3 months ago new pressure plate and disk throw out bearing and pilot bearing. i got in the truck this morning and i didnt think the pedal went all the down but had to of otherwise it wouldnt start. when i put in gear i can barely let off the clutch and it engages. it was never like that before it usually is about half way when it engages. could it be the springs under the pedal or master cylinder or the slave cylinder. i didnt see any other leaks under the truck other than my powersteering but its normal. thanks i need some help here this is daily driver, thanks

Well you changed the slave but that doesn't mean it isn't bad. Try bleeding the system first.

just replaced the slave on mine yesterday, big pain in the ***, bleed the system if not it's probably the slave or the master cylinder, pull that piece of rubber out of the side of the tranny and see if any brake fluid is comin out of it, if it is its definately the slave, just because it looks new doesn't mean it's still good

On the M5OD 5 speed the slave is part of the throwout bearing, I don't think you can get them separately.

I think it's air in the system.

well i got it figured out. it was the master cylinder. the plastic on the push rod was broke the part that goes to the pedal. anyways long story short 50 bucks a 12 pack and an hour later she is fixed.

When I swapped in my 5 speed the first time I pushed the pedal that broke on mine too. I used my old one slightly modified, it is all steel and adjustable.
