Default cleaning EGR valve?

Someone suggested I clean to EGR valve on my 95, 5.0. Looks like I can remove it, but have no idea what or how to actually clean it. Anyone done this before. Could use a bit of guidance. Thanks

Its been awhile since messing with one but you should be able to pull it off clean it with brake cleaner and compressed air. Then put vacuum to it and see if it holds. If it does reinstall it and see if that did the job.

Default Sounds good

Sounds good. I was not sure of what to use as a cleaner. I have 4 cans of brake fluid in the shed.

haha nice. i have had to clean my egr system too make sure the truck is nice and cooled down and wait about a half hour or so before starting it up so the cleaner has time to evaporate because it is flammable.

Seems like most of the guys around here want 5 foot flames to come out from under the hood anymore man. Why did you go and have to ruin all his fun?
