Carb. The only thing FI is good for is warming up the engine on cold days.

Question

cant fuel injection produce more horsepower then carbs? and i thought no matter how good the carb is it tends to cut out on fast launches. i dont know much about carborators but that's what ive heard

No. You are limited with fi, you can put a huge cam and big carb on an engine and produce alot of power, you have to be more careful with fi especially with speed density fi systems. You can do lot more with a carb engine to get more power, and off the line, wise tale.

FI is my preference. I bought my truck specifically because it was fuel injected and had all the power options. My previous truck had a carb and I couldn't wait to get rid of it.

well i know for a fact more fuel and air= more power! and i think fuel injection has got carburetors beat for that aspect. then again i prefer fuel injection over carbs.

wait a minute fuel injectors create better fuel atomization then carbs along with better control for fuel to air besides you can make 150lbs of pressure with the fuel injectors and get more boost and control then any carb could do. and i dont think you can put a turbo or a supercharger on a carbed engine but once again don't know much about carburetors limitations other then elevation, humidity and weather.

You absolutely can put a turbo or a blower on a carb engine. With better results. Problem with fi every sensor must be operating properly to run correctly, if one sensor fails, or injectors get dirty, the atomization and fuel control and the whole perfect little fi world goes to crap. And as I said before and say again the best mileage I ever got was on my old 86 I pulled the fi crap off put on a 600 cfm Holley with an msd 6a I drove from NJ to Georgia on a little over 3 tanks, best I could do with FI was over 4 tanks. Besides there are no real limits to carbs compared to fi.

yes that is true thats the one thing i really like about the carborated engine you cant take them out with an EMP and they are completely non reliant on sensors
