another option (probably cheaper and more energy efficient) is to pick up a cheap electric fan from ebay instead of from an older vehicle. The current draw on some of those older efans is outrageous

also, if you are really considering this, go ahead and adjust yourself to the possibility of needing to upgrade your alt. it's not certain that you'll have to, but there's a good chance

I'VE down the big 3 upgrade and have a second battery mounted but I'm going to see on ebay what they have to offer

I just replaced the ethelyene glycol anti-freeze in my 94 with Low-Tox (propylene Glycol) and found it is running cooler. Could be it was just the result of my having run the cleaner and flush and lots of water through the radiator. It might also be a result of the Propylene Glycol.

I chose PG to replace EG based on its compatability with older engines. New EG isn't formulated the same way as before (complex subject) but PG is better. A web search will turn up more than you want about anti-freeze. Just be aware all anti-freezes are not alike and your older engine might need a different anti-frees
