I have what might be a stupid question....
I just changed the fuel filter on my 95 and it was just held on with normal hose clamps to short sections of 5/16 fuel hose... is that a high pressure line?? I thought it looked somewhat non-factory.

You can get high pressure fuel hose and high pressure fuel injection hose clamps but yours doesn't sound like a factory setup. The difference between fuel injection hose clamps and low pressure clamps is that the low pressure clamps have a split where the screw threads into while the high pressure ones don't have the split so they don't separate when you tighten them. You probably have stripped out hose clamps before from overtightening, the fuel injection ones don't strip easily.

there should be a clip on each side, and when u buy a new filter it should come with two new ones... just break the old clips off... and put the new ones on.

Talk about a PITA!!!! The best $75 I ever spent was to have the Ford place change it!! I had run out of curse words!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for any future reference you can hold down the schrader valve on the fuel rail to bleed off pressure, its very easy.
