If I hadn't lost the top of the filter box I'd have switched back already, whenever I look under the hood I keep thinking to myself WTH did I even put that there?

Hey it wasn't on my truck, then we ran some French drain hose to get fresh air from under the bumper

I'm a welder, so I can fix up a nice box with a Plexiglas lid.

Haha, that reminds me of a guy I knew in high school that made an intake out of PVC tubing and used a shop vac attachment for a scoop. He thought it was super cool, I mocked the hell out of it.

Where would you pull that air from? In front of the radiator; behind the wheel well?

I think I'll do that adapter with a AEM dryflow filter, and a custom box. BTW does anyone know what the AEM sounds like? I don't mind it whistling when I punch the throttle, but a non stop one would be annoying.
