Default A/C delete/bypass

Hi I have a 90 f150 5.0l and I am getting rid of my A/C and replacing it with a bypass kit (idler pulley). I know I have to unbolt my compressor and bolt in the pulley. But what other parts of the A/C system can I throw out? Like can I throw out that black canister and all the hoses and wiring? I still need heat though! I also heard I need to evacuate my ac system... Any tips on that would be appreciated too.

Thanks

You can get rid of it all, it's going to get contaminated and become useless anyways. Leave the evaporator in the box though, and I wouldn't cut any wires. Non a/c trucks still have the wires.

Okay when I pull out the hoses from the compressor will that evacuate all the a/c gases? Or do I need to have any precautions or can I just go through and unbolt everything?

Evacuate means remove and recover, which is what you're supposed to do because refrigerant is harmful to the environment. If it hasn't worked in forever it's probably empty, which you would check at the service port that has a tire like valve stem wink wink.
