Most people are going to say suspension lift, it is the better of the two. In my opinion the suspension lift will be easier to install. The body lift requires many modifications to little things like bumper mounts, shifter linkages, fuel fillers, etc.

dude, suspension lift for sure. it may be a bit more expensive, but looks way better. body lifts look trashy cuz it exposes the frame when you body lift it.

yeah i was thinking suspension, what about the leveling or the suspension. i was looking at 2" suspension kit which had leaf springs for the back and blocks for the front. a leveling kit is just the blocks in the front right? soo leveling or suspension

How high you want to go depends on the look you want, the size tires you plan to run, and how you plan to use the truck when it's all finished.

A leveling kit will raise the front about 2" - those are usually longer coil springs (the spacer kits cost about as much, but just don't seem like a good idea to me...) this gives you room to go with 31's or maybe 33's with a little bit of persuasion. Easy install and not much additional needed aside from a front end alignment when you're done.

2-4" will allow a bit bigger tires, but they'll be big enough that you have to change the ring/pinion gears in your differentials. Now you've spent a bunch on the lift and installation, you've spent more on tires/wheels, you'll need longer shocks, and you have to spend even more to re-gear. Plus the cost of alignment when you're done.

4" or more lets you get crazy, but aside from the costs above (only more since your wheels/tires will be bigger), you have steering linkage mods, brake line mods, and all sorts of other little details that add up.

suspension lift for sure you get the actual performance of the lift.. a body lift just looks like sh#t you would be better off going with the leveling kit and meatier tires than a body if anything
