Default Biggest lift on TTB suspension....

I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on what the biggest lift can be put on the stock TTB suspension on our trucks...

I know skyjacker has a 8" kit but I was wondering if there is something that could be pieced together or even bought that was even bigger.

I would like to run those 38" to 46" military tires one day.

Its always cool to hear what you all have to say!

I was planning at one time to run 8" drop brackets, 6" springs and a 4" spacer. And use camber bushings to adjust for the difference. That's 10". Put a 3" body on and you'd have ample clearance for 44's.

But I wouldn't want to run them on those axles

What do you think the biggest tire these could handle is?

Couldn't you build the axle to handle those too?

If you bought some good quality parts and geared accordingly you could run 40" tires as long as you were mostly just daily driving it.
Back when these trucks were still in production there was a guy in town with a (I would guess) 95 and he had a 8" lift and 3" body and 44" ground hogs and drove it everyday to work.

6" max, 8" if pushing the limit of what the TTB can tolerate. If u plan to run those sized tires and want a good amount of lift just skip a TTB lift and go with a solid axle. Is this to impress the girls at the mall or a wheeler?

No, pretty straight forward.

8" skyjacker drop brackets
Any 8" springs you can find. And a 2" leveling kit.
Or 4" lift super duty springs(equals 10" of lift on our trucks.

Make sure to get extended radius arms.

Not really. And with anything bigger than 38 it NEEDS to stay on road or you're going to be paying for constant repairs.
