belt bypass ?

Was just thinking has anyone found a belt that will bypass the ac pump and the smog pump. On my 302 neither of the two work so i figured why have them spinning all the time.

Take them off. Go get a string, measure. And start searching

just remember, when you route the new belt, everything needs to turn the same direction that it is already.

x2 You'll notice a overheat issue if your water pump runs backwards.

Lol, you'd have to be pretty dumb to put the belt on THAT wrong.

I was helping to rebuild a 53 F-100 that had a 239 flathead, for some reason the water pumps that came with the block were an after market and somehow we screwed up the routing, on not one but two pumps. So had a constant overheat issue. I think the guy figured to be the impellers on wrong. Go figure, how do you screw up one v belt:D
