Doesn't take long for a car to go up in flames! Just think if that was in a garage. Maybe it was the cruise control recall!!

Wow! I once had a Ford escort that caught on fire. The fire started from power steering fluid leaking onto the catalytic converter. I managed to put it out with handfuls of snow.

Probably the alternator...I had the alt catch fire on both my '86 and my '90. Fortunately, I usually have a 44 oz big gulp with me. Lol

I was following a guy in a fifties chevy after a car show one afternoon , he had a carb fire at a traffic light,. The guy jumps out , opens the hood , flames get BIG , he reaches in , cuts the top rad hose, and slams the hood, just like he did the same thing every day. The steam put out the fire, and then we helped push him to the curb. The whole time the guys calm as if nothing happened.

My Camaro caught fire once. A truckload of Mexicans stopped and dumped their job water cooler on it, then disappeared like Superman. Barely had time to thank them.

We had just swam across the river and jumped in our get away truck; figured all the water in our pockets would do it some good.
