Mine didn't have one so I went to the junkyard and nabbed one off a bronco.

Yea I guess so... All I know is I looked at mine when I got it and the t case was out there hanging in the breeze. I thought "that's stupid" so I did a little research and found the broncos came with them so I found one in the junkyard that was like new, just oily. Maybe on the high end I paid $20 for it, i can't remember. The frame is predrilled so it just mounted right up. I used grade 8 bolts instead of the factory junk.

They came on all the F-150's that had the Off-Road Package,my Truck came with the Off-Road Package but the 1st Owner removed the Skid Plate. And I'm not sure if all the Bronco's had them or if was part of a Package.

My understanding is that all Broncos came with them. Bronco's also have a skid plate for the rear fuel cell.

Pretty much all of the Pic's of Bronco's I've seen have the Skid Plates,so I thought they all might have come with them. And the F-150's with the Off-Road Package have the Plate over the Gas Tank as well.

I have a 38 gallon rear tank so of I were going to put a skid plate it would have to be custom. I pulled the tank skid plate off the same Bronco but to my dismay it would not fit wth out heavy modification.
