Question Anybody else breaking inside door handles?

On my 93 F150 ever since I got the truck I have been going through both driver and passenger interior door handles. Everyone says that the springs in the handle mechanisms are to stiff. Any ideas on how to weaken them? Or is it better to just replace the entire mechanism?

If he would stop using the junk Dorman replacements and got OE parts they might last more then five minutes.

from my experiences with dorman you'd be better off paying the kid down the street to make you the part you need it might be better then the dorman crap

yup i broke one on a truck at work a few months ago...
it was metal also, an OEM one. its from pulling the handle up too far because there is a delay before the cable actually unlatches the door striker. replace the whole spring unit and it'll work way better. Got mine from pick and pull, works great, and im positive its OEM
