Glad to help. Its a really easy and simple wiring job. The only thing you might have to do is when you get the old one out is to mock up the replacement and see which way the plugs are facing. I had to reclock mine one position over to get the plugs to face where I needed them. Also easy but you have to be very careful, or take it somewhere to see if they can do it for you.

Ok cool I was reading about having to re clock it, which I've done before. Another issue with my 3G is there's a bolt bulge on the back of the casing I might have to file down for clearance. Other then that I think it's good.

Yep the alt I pulled has an extra mount for the Taurus on the back side not sure if it will hit anything or not pretty simple to remove from the casing that's for sure.

See, above the charge connection. It sticks out a bit but not all bad just an easy fix if I need to grind it down.

You mean the thing that looks like a tumor? I don't think it will hit anything. Though you -might- have to notch your alt bracket to fit the 3g case. Just a little piece though.

Lol yeah that, and I think I will have to notch the bracket as well. I went a bit nuts and bought some nice red 0/4 gauge wire for under the hood as well as a nice inline mega fuse holder, might change that though. I want to be able to eventually just drop in a 200amp 3g alternator. So making sure everything can hold up to the extra amperage.

I got a 200 amp fuse and a nice holder that reads battery voltage if I ground the wire, sweet deal on them both. I used four gauge on the important stuff.

A few post online suggest o gauge wire, cannot argue it is the best but its a bit thick, so i think the 4 gauge should be fine for my 130amp upgrade, however when the 200amp goes in I will deff put in a o gauge charge wire.
Not sure I need the voltage meter but it is a good idea
