Mine did that too when I first bought it and it ended up being the clock spring, does your horn work?

hahah, because that symptom is directly related to a bad clock spring as well. Go on lmctruck.com and get a new one, or if you have any other preferred website. You'll have to go into the steering wheel, make sure to disconnect the battery and (correct me if I'm wrong here guys) clear the computer, I forgot how my dad did this so the air bag doesn't go off on you. All in all, a very simple fix that you can do yourself.

OR go to the junkyard and salvage an old clock spring if it bothers you that much but this may be only temporary fix as this one could go out on ya too.

I know you need to disconnect the battery, possibly he pulled the airbag fuse though but I am NOT sure please wait for someone else to chime in. Having an airbag go off in your face would not be fun. You will also need a steering wheel puller I believe.
