Sorry man, I screwed you up. I've done so many different things with my belt I remembered wrong. 970k6 is stock no a/c, or smog pump delete with a/c. That's the belt I've ran mostly. 800k6 is smog pump delete no a/c, I ran that one for a while.

No worries man, thanks for the quick responses. Hopefully this is useful to those who have this problem later on.

Default Ac bypass

you also have to grind off a tube that's in in the way on the ac compressor bracket because the bracket has to stay for the alternator

I'm betting that, after 7 years, he got it figured out, or got rid of the truck.

Hey, i know this is a super old thread but going throguj the same issue on a 96' f150 with the 4.9l 6. I purchased the belt you recommended but i noticed when routing it the no ac way the new belt is rubbing against the ac pulley. Were you able to do this without removing the ac compressor? look forward to your response. Thanks!

The non-ac belt will most likely not fit properly with an ac compressor in the way. the easiest way to fix that issue would probably be to remove the ac compressor clutch and pulley. or just remove the whole compressor.
