Default ABS Issue

I have a 2wd 95 f150. The abs does not seem to be working, but the abs light is not on. The light will come on and shut off when the ignition is turned on, so the bulb is good. I was wondering how this system works. I noticed there is not speed sensors on all 4 wheels like on other cars. Maybe it is working, and I'm just not used to this set up. Pretty much I'm used to feeling pulsating in the pedal when abs kicks in and I am not feeling that.

The ABS is mostly for decoration. Nobody ever feels it work. It's only rear wheel ABS.

this. unless you're on ice and you dont pump the brakes and just slam on them to slow down then you will notice a little bit if its working (but i dont suggest you try that, might cause an accident)

Thanks for the info. I was kinda thinking it was just a crappy system, just wanted to be sure.

Very primitive system. Just pulses the rear drums when you have the ped locked, it helps keep the rear end behind you. You still need to drive these trucks as if they do not have any abs (pump the pedal yourself in a slide)
